  • Further your preparation for a career in the sciences.
  • Gain the knowledge and experience needed to fully engage and influence our democratic society.

So, what does it take to be successful in my classes? 
  • Accept responsibility for your learning. You cannot succeed in my classes simply by watching other people do the work. Take an active role and get involved!
  • Be self-motivated and develop discipline. Don't rely on others to make sure you are keeping up on your assignments…you are the most important key to your success. 
  • Seek out help! Asking questions and getting help when you need it is not a sign of weakness. No one succeeds on their own, and collaboration is an important skill in all stages of life.
  • Do the work. Simple as that.

PARENTS
Your child needs your support to reach their goals. Please monitor your child’s grade via PowerSchool in order to ensure your child’s success in my class. Also, please periodically check this website for announcements, forms, class notes, as well as quiz and exam information. Of course, you can always contact me to inquire about your child’s progress or discuss any questions you have.

About the Instructor: Mr. Pete Alderman

Hi! My name is Pete Alderman. I was born and raised in Lennon, Michigan. I am an alumnus of Durand High School.

I have earned a Bachelors of Science in Engineering (BEgr - Industrial Design) from Michigan State University and a Bachelors of Education (BEd - Math/Physics) from Eastern Michigan University.

I am married to an elementary school teacher named Dala and we have two children: Lily, 16 and Adam, 14.
